young and old over the course of my thirty-five year career. The stories I

I've also seen various changes in the economy over these years. Arts funding
is, unfortunately, always the first service to be eliminated during times of
challenge. What a deficit this is for not only the Artist, but also the public -
what would the world be without Art? Flat, colorless, boring...less
intellectual too. Art stimulates the mind and senses. Art makes us feel good
- and think. Art sharpens the minds of our children and senior citizens. Art
inspires adults who are feeling blue or seeking life change.
As an artist who has learned to flow with the economic tide in order to stay
afloat, I honor the trends. I believe it is important to continue to provide
